Complete the application documents in full.
- Be sure to indicate dates of employment, hours worked and thoroughly describe your duties.
- Resumes are not acceptable as a substitute for any part of the standard or supplemental application form; initial evaluation of your qualifications will be based solely on the application documents received by the County.
- Possession of the stated minimum qualifications does not guarantee advancement in the selection process.

Submit your completed application materials to Human Resources no later than 5 p.m. on the final deadline date stated in the job announcement.
- The filing period for a continuous recruitment (job opportunities that don't have a displayed closing date) may be closed at any time.
- Application materials may be faxed to Human Resources at (661) 861-2207, if not indicated otherwise on the job announcement, but must be received by the final deadline stated in the job announcement. In addition, original documents of faxed materials must be forwarded in a timely manner.
- Make copies of any information you wish to keep. Copies of submitted materials will not be returned, and Human Resources will not provide copies of submitted application materials to candidates.
- All statements on the completed application materials are subject to verification.
- We cannot accept applications prior to the scheduled opening date.

Examination Procedure
All completed application documents will be reviewed. Based on the information provided in these documents, qualified applicants will be invited for further examination. Depending upon the recruitment, the examination may consist of:
- An application screening
- Written exam
- Practical exam
- Oral exam
- Or any combination of the above.

POST-OFFER MEDICAL/PHYSICAL EXAMINATION - Once an offer of employment has been made, you may be required to pass a medical and/or physical exam including drug testing. The cost of the examination is paid by the Court. Candidates are cautioned not to quit or give notice to present employers until the medical examination has been completed and passed.
