Naturalization
If you were naturalized in Kern County prior to January 1993, the court can verify that you were naturalized in Kern County. To request this information, you must:
  1. Fill out an application, which can be picked up in the Family Law Unit located on the first floor at 1215 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California.
  2. Provide proper identification. i.e. Valid driver's license, passport, state identification document with photo ID.
  3. Pay a fee of $15
Once the above is received, the Court will issue a Clerk's Certificate verifying the fact that you were naturalized in this court. This verification does not replace your original certificate but only verifies that you were naturalized in Kern County. You may also e-mail our court's Naturalization Clerk to ask questions about obtaining the Clerk's Certificate.
