Because of the volume of cases, the press of the calendar, and the limited staff and resources available, the Probate Department does not take calls regarding general defects and/or to discuss tentative rulings, or to preclear or preapprove a document or set of proposed documents.
The Probate staff is not authorized to assist counsel and/or the general public with questions the answers to which appear within the California Probate Code, Rules of Court, Local Court Rules or other readily available publications. No general questions of this nature will be answered over the telephone at any time.

Probate tentative ruling information will normally be available on the Web one business day after ruling has been entered by court personnel. This information will be removed from the Web three days after the hearing date.
