The Superior Court of California, County of Kern (“Court”) is soliciting proposals from qualified service providers to provide services associated with a misdemeanor delayed entry of judgment program. Defendants who are eligible to participate in the program will be referred by the Court after entering a guilty plea, and upon successful completion of the program, will be allowed the opportunity to have their misdemeanor case dismissed without any conviction entered. The program fee is paid by the defendant for the program. The Court intends to award a contract for an initial one-year term with options to renew for four (4) additional one-year terms. The contract will be a “no-cost” contract, meaning that the Court will not incur any cost under the contract.

A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for May 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Time). The deadline for questions is June 4 and proposals must be submitted no later than June 10 at 3:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). As instructed in the RFP, interested proposers must submit all questions and communications to the Court’s Solicitations Mailbox at purchasing@kern.courts.ca.gov.
