Limited Parking at Juvenile Justice Center

The County of Kern is installing solar panels in the parking lot of Public Health. This will impact parking at the Juvenile Justice Center. The project is expected to last through May 1, 2024.

Bail Schedules

The Kern County Superior Court follows the Judicial Council of California’s Uniform Bail and Penalty Schedules for most traffic, boating, fish and game, forestry, public utilities, parks and recreation, and business licensing cases.  See California Rules of Court, rule 4.102.  However, there are a few exceptions for Vehicle Code misdemeanors for which the Court’s own Felony Bail Schedule (which also covers certain misdemeanors) will be applied.  The Uniform Bail and Penalty Schedules can be found on the Judicial Council’s website.

Felony Bail Schedule Effective October 13, 2023

Bail Refunds:

Refunds on cash bail are processed automatically upon court order. It takes approximately 4-6 weeks from the date of the court order to receive your refund.
The Kern County Auditor's office mails the refund check. For further information phone 661-868-3599 from 8am - 4pm, Monday through Friday.
